The electroplating uses electric current to deposit gold or rhodium particles dissolved in a special solution on a metal object, forming a new thin and homogeneous layer.
The plating, in addition to making the object appear more beautiful and shinier, creates a protective anti-oxidation layer that extends its life.
It is possible to plate clips, rings, and nibs that have lost gold, rhodium, or two-tone plating.

A nib just extracted from its section without the original two-tone rhodium plating.
